This week's theme was "How far can AWS extend its boundaries?" We learned five AWS solutions to two fundamental constraints unresolved by public cloud — latency from physical distance and data location mandated by regulation. Outposts (AWS racks inside customer buildings), Local Zones (major city AWS presence), Wavelength (AWS next to 5G base stations), Storage Gateway (extending on-premises storage to cloud), Snow Family (defeating internet through physical shipping), and even extending container orchestration on-premises with EKS/ECS Anywhere.
